About this app The free Waste Not Want Not (WNWN) app helps food lovers connect with local food vendors and retailers who post extraordinary Deals of the Day on their excess snacks, carryout meals, desserts, grocery items, and more — all at extraordinary discounts — while they are still fresh and delicious. Why WNWN Really Is a Win-Win Every single day, restaurants, cafes, sandwich shops, bars, bakeries, and grocery stores are throwing away their unsold goods, literally tons of the stuff. It’s costing them money, filling up our landfills, and creating greenhouse gases that hurt our environment. Meanwhile food prices keep going up and people are going hungry. But it doesn’t have to be this way! With the WNWN app, food lovers take advantage of exclusive Deals of the Day posted by participating WNWN businesses at deep discounts for a limited time, while the food is still fresh and delicious. They get to connect with local food vendors and retailers, enjoy new foods, and save a great deal of money while they help the environment. Meanwhile, participating WNWN businesses can increase foot traffic, connect with new customers, and sell more of their best items, thus reducing the amount of unsold products they throw away each day. They lose less food inventory, reduce their waste hauling volume, and bring in a little revenue instead of losing money. See, the WNWN app really is a win-win for all involved. How WNWN Works 1. Get the App and Check for Deals Download the free WNWN app and create your profile. This includes setting your initial location and search radius. The WNWN app will show you available Deals of the Day based on your location. These deals are posted by participating WNWN businesses who sell deal packages at substantially discounted prices during a limited time of availability, exclusively through the WNWN app. Participating vendors and their deals change daily, so check back often! 2. Reserve Your Deal When you find a deal that appeals to you, reserve it. Payment is handled through the app. This is the cool part. You only pay for the food deals you select and purchase. There is never any upfront cost to download or use the WNWN app. 3. Pick Up Your Food Pick up your order during the designated pickup time frame. Simply show your confirmation on the WNWN app when you pick up your order. It’s that simple! Go for the Win-Win Waste Not Want Not is currently active in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, with more states to be added soon.
