My three year old daughter has been playing with ABC magnets on our fridge. One day she wanted to spell DADDY. She could not because we had only one set. I made this app for her to be able to spell anything she wanted to. Fast forward three years, she now reads at the third grade level. She is way past the age to use this app. I keep this app up and running for other parents.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ABC Fridge at none against RobotMania's 2. ABC Fridge also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 15.0). RobotMania's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (721 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RobotMania sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. ABC Fridge asks for nothing beyond the download.
ABC Fridge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RobotMania has 721 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of ABC Fridge's written reviews are positive against 83% of RobotMania's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ABC Fridge ships an update every 9 months, RobotMania every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
