Meet Broffy, a sweet little tiny one waiting for your love. Broffy addresses a gap in how people manage their emotional well-being. Traditional support systems require scheduling, availability, and often come with social pressure or judgment. Broffy exists in that in-between space. It is more interactive than a journal, more accessible than a therapist, and free from the practical barriers of pet ownership. Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Broffy at freemium against Stories Hunter's subscription. Stories Hunter's advantage is ratings volume (135 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stories Hunter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Broffy sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Stories Hunter against 5.0 for Broffy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stories Hunter has 135 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Stories Hunter ships an update weekly, Broffy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
