Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Speed at 4.8 against Cards's 3.5. Cards's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Speed holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 64 and 144 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Speed's written reviews are positive against 44% of Cards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Speed ships an update every 3 months, Cards every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
