Busy Bluetooth is a BLE scanner and debugging tool for developers, hardware engineers, and IoT device testing. Use it to discover nearby Bluetooth LE devices, inspect RSSI, advertised services, UUIDs, manufacturer data, and connection state. After connecting, you can track reads, writes, and notifications in a timeline built for repeatable debugging. Key features: • Scan Bluetooth LE devices in real time • Filter by name, UUID, service, manufacturer data, connectability, and RSSI • Inspect device details, advertisement data, services, and characteristic UUIDs • Record connection events, reads, writes, and notifications • View payloads as hex, text, and structured decoded data • Export JSON / CSV logs or generate a debugging case package • Useful for BLE peripheral development, IoT troubleshooting, hardware testing, and field validation Busy Bluetooth keeps the core BLE workflow clear: scan, connect, inspect, record, and export. Scan for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy peripherals and explore their services, characteristics, and device information. Built for firmware and hardware engineers who need to read, write, and verify GATT values quickly. Subscription required. Write and read any characteristic Write/Read characteristic values as strings, decimal numbers, or hex. With byte-order (big-endian / little-endian) and signed / unsigned interpretation for integer values. Hex entry that formats into byte pairs as you type without losing your cursor position. Read values from any characteristic, including custom and non-standard ones specific to your device. Subscribe to notifications and indications per characteristic and watch asynchronous updates arrive live. Built for repeat testing Write history is retained per device, per service, and per characteristic: twenty devices running identical firmware each keep their own characteristic write log and also has write history for matching Service + Characteristic / identical devices. Every write is timestamped and marked with its outcome, so you can see at a glance which values the peripheral accepted and which it rejected. Tap any past value to resend it instantly. Write to every connected device that exposes the same characteristic in a single action. See what the device actually is Service, characteristic, and descriptor names resolved from the Bluetooth SIG assigned numbers. Manufacturer resolved from the SIG company identifier in the advertising packet. Model number, serial number, and firmware, hardware, and software revisions read from the Device Information Service. Real-time signal strength and advertising details for every nearby device, with proximity and unknown-device filters. Console Log Live console with detailed, timestamped events for every connection, read, write, and notification. Filter the console by device, characteristic, UUID, or value to find one event among thousands. Full-screen console on iPhone. Export console output to a .txt file to attach to a bug report or share with your team. If you write firmware that exposes a GATT service, this is the tool for confirming it behaves the way you intended — before you write a companion app. Moving from prototype to production When you go from one board on a bench to a batch on a line, keeping track of which unit received what becomes the hard part. Write history is scoped to the individual device rather than to the characteristic UUID, so identical units never share a log, and each entry records the time and whether the peripheral acknowledged it. Devices that publish a serial number over the Device Information Service are identified by that serial. Broadcast writes let you push the same provisioning value to every connected unit that supports it in one action. Supported devices Works with any Bluetooth Low Energy peripheral, including development kits and modules from Nordic Semiconductor, Espressif, Texas Instruments, Silicon Labs, and STMicroelectronics, as well as commercial sensors, beacons, wearables, and industrial equipment. Requires Bluetooth LE hardware; classic Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices are outside the scope of Core Bluetooth and will not appear.
