Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: SoundSheet at 5.0 against Live Timecode Notes's 4.4. SoundSheet also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Live Timecode Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Timecode Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and SoundSheet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
SoundSheet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Timecode Notes has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Live Timecode Notes ships an update every 2 weeks, SoundSheet every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
