Visual Timer & Day Planner
Read full descriptionHide full description
A gentle day planner that lays today out as pictures and bands of time. A list of words is hard to hold in your head, and not knowing what comes next is unsettling. This is a planner you can see. - How long something takes, shown as the size of a block Plans are laid out as coloured blocks with an icon, and the length of the band is the length of the time. A card at the top of "Today" counts down how long is left in the current plan (or until the next one) as a shrinking bar, so "how much longer" and "what is next" are answerable at a glance. - Nothing tells you off - There are no marks for what you did not do, no completion rates and no streaks. A finished plan is finished; an unfinished one is "this far for today". That is all. You are not scored. - Notifications that do not hurry you - A notification says only that it is time for something. No urgent words, no exclamation marks. - Made to be safe to use - No ads - Everything stays inside this device only (nothing is sent anywhere) - No photos and no personal details are collected Daily routines repeat by day of the week, and a one-off for today can be added on top. Choose from 8 colours and 16 icons. Because you can see it, it is easier to keep going. Basic use is free. Only exporting your schedule as a text file is a one-time in-app purchase (a single payment of ¥200 in Japan, no subscription; the price is shown in the store). The app connects to the internet only to confirm a purchase, and your records are not sent anywhere. Gently, quietly, today made visible.

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kawaii To at none against Visual Timer & Day Planner's 1. Visual Timer & Day Planner's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
