Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: AI Note Taker at 59 against Quicknotes's 5. AI Note Taker also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. AI Note Taker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Quicknotes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for AI Note Taker against 4.8 for Quicknotes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Note Taker has 59 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
AI Note Taker ships an update every 2 weeks, Quicknotes every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 5, 2026 respectively.
