Download an alternative camera that you will actually use for every photo you take. The other “pro” camera apps have too many features, confusing interfaces, and use up your storage with raw data that is a chore to delete. Eventually, we all get lazy and go back to using the built-in camera. But Range is different...it’s a camera app for photographers who have taste, not time: Capture RAW photos with one click, and then process them in our fun to use darkroom built for speed. No more finding and opening individual photos. There are no exports, no duplicates, no hunting for raw files and deleting them after the fact. We handle the busy-work behind the scenes. All that's left? Beautiful images in your camera roll with real sensor grain, dense colors and natural fidelity. No filters. No gimmicks. No over-processing. With Range, you can finally replace the built-in camera...but for real this time. PLEASE NOTE: - iPhone 12 or newer required. - Range is not free. After 20 photos you will need a subscription...but it's totally worth it. - The camera intelligently switches between RAW and ProRAW based on lighting conditions (on phones that have ProRAW capability). - Range saves captures as raw images in your camera roll. These raw images may appear over-exposed in the photos app (but they're not really). After processing in the Range darkroom, the raw is deleted and replaced with a HEIC. - Image quality in the darkroom is lower than the final export (for speed). - All deleted raw data is held in your 'Recently Deleted' folder for 30 days if you'd like it back. Rolls is a quiet camera app that helps you take fewer photos, more intentionally. Choose your roll length. Take your shots and wait to develop. Once you start, every photo counts. No endless retakes. No scrolling through twenty versions of the same moment. No feed. Your photos stay hidden until the roll is complete. Then they develop into a private album you can name, keep, and export when you’re ready. Rolls is built for walks, weekends, trips, dates, ordinary days, and the small moments that are easy to over-capture and forget. Take less. Keep more. Features: • Choose from 3, 6, 12, 24, 36 or 64 shot limits • Shoot without instant previews • Finish or end a roll early to develop it • Choose a cover photo for each album • Name and tag your rolls • View completed rolls in a private timeline • Export individual photos, selected photos, or full albums • No accounts, no likes, no social feed Rolls is a camera with limits, designed to make your photos feel considered again. https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Verdict
Range Camera and Rolls are too close to call on the numbers: across 8 compared parameters — price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
