Understand your calorie balance. Log food your way. The Deficit brings your calorie intake, energy expenditure and progress together in a clear daily overview, using Apple Health data from the apps and devices you already use. SEE THE BIG PICTURE • Follow your calorie balance across days and custom date ranges. • See intake, macros, resting and active energy, and exercise. • Set a goal and compare your estimated progress. Days with incomplete intake can be excluded from the balance calculation. AGENTIC FOOD TRACKING — OPTIONAL, EFFORTLESS Tell the AI agent what you eat and it logs the meal for you. Dictate foods and amounts, or photograph a nutrition label and say or type “Log 200 g of this food.” The agent reads the label, calculates the portion and adds it to your diary. When you do not know the portion, it can estimate it for you to review and adjust. • Log meals by typing, dictating or taking a photo on iPhone or iPad. • Log multiple meals at different times in one request. • Dictate food and review your diary directly on Apple Watch. • Ask follow-up questions in chat or start a live voice conversation. • Add a personal coaching goal for more relevant feedback. • Review and edit portions and nutrition values. • Reuse familiar foods from your food memory. • Keep your diary and conversation in sync across iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. • Start dictation with Shortcuts or the Action Button on supported devices. KEEP YOUR EXISTING TRACKER Prefer another food app? Turn off food tracking and continue using The Deficit as your Apple Health calorie-balance overview. YOUR CHOICES Sign in with Apple keeps your account connected across devices. Onboarding explains OpenAI processing when you use AI features. Apple Health access and optional transcript sharing remain under your control in Settings. You can turn off food tracking and delete your account in the app. AI uses credits. New accounts receive welcome credits; additional packs are available as one-time in-app purchases. Purchased credits do not expire while your account exists. At zero credit, AI pauses; your existing data and manual features remain available. Internet access is required for AI and cloud synchronization. Nutrition values and projected weight changes are estimates. Check suggested foods and portions before relying on them. The Deficit is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
AI Macro Tracker

Looking up every food in a database is a chore, and an AI calorie count you can’t check is hard to trust. Macropass is an AI macro tracker that shows its work. Describe what you ate by text, voice or photo, see the ingredients and assumptions behind the estimate, and correct it in a sentence. WHO IT’S FOR Macropass is for people who want to keep an eye on calories and macros but stopped tracking because logging every meal took too much work. If you weigh your food and need figures that match the label, a database tracker may suit you better. LOG BY TEXT, VOICE OR PHOTO Type “protein pancakes with berries,” say it out loud, or take a photo with your camera or pick one from your library. You can add typed details to a photo and use up to 3 photos for one meal. With voice, you review the transcript before Macropass estimates anything. Previous and saved meals can be logged again from the same screen. CHECK THE AI’S WORK Every estimate lists its ingredients with portions and calories, the assumptions the AI made, and an uncertainty range on the calorie total. If something is off, type a correction like “It was 3 pancakes, not 4” or edit a portion yourself, and the estimate updates. You can still edit a meal after saving it. LOG FROM CHATGPT OR CLAUDE Connect ChatGPT, Claude or another MCP client and log meals into the same diary from a chat. Your assistant can read your goals, today’s diary and your history, and it can edit or delete meals. Connecting is optional. CALORIES AND MACROS, DAY BY DAY Macropass tracks calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber and sugar. Your day summary updates against your targets as each meal lands. Set different calorie and macro targets for each day of the week, so training days and rest days can differ. Log your weight and see its history in Goals. Apple Health sync is optional and off by default. NO STREAKS, NO ADS Mark a day complete when you’re done. There are no streaks to keep up and no ads. Export your data or delete your account anytime from the You tab in the app. Using Macropass requires Macropass Pro, a monthly or annual subscription. Eligible accounts get a 14-day free trial on the annual plan; the monthly plan has no trial. The subscription renews automatically at the price and period shown before purchase unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. On the purchase screen, you can turn on a reminder 2 days before the annual trial ends. Macropass is a general wellness tool, not a medical device. Nutrition estimates may be incomplete or inaccurate and do not provide medical advice.
