Most people wait on happiness like it's weather. It isn't. It's a system - with sources you can name, patterns you can see, and levers you can actually pull. Antara is that system, on your phone. HOW IT WORKS 1. Find your sources. Twenty fast either-or choices: "which feels more alive right now?" Go with your gut, don't overthink it. Out comes your ranked ten and a name for the state you're in today. 2. Check in twice a day. A morning intention. An evening reflection. About a minute each. That's the whole ask. 3. Watch the pattern show up. After about five evening check-ins, Antara starts showing you what your data says - which is often not what you assumed it said. 4. Do something with it. Every pattern connects to a concrete strategy for that specific source, matched to where that source actually sits for you right now. THE TEN SOURCES Joy, Excitement, Pride, Gratitude, Contentment, Resilience, Love, Community, Optimism, Purpose. Seven of these were already in the wellbeing literature. Three I added after synthesizing 150+ studies and spending three years as a nomad watching the existing frameworks miss them. MORE ISN'T ALWAYS BETTER Every source has a range. Too little Excitement and you go flat. Too much and you can't sit still in your own life - I know, I lived it. Antara treats deficiency and excess as two different problems with two different answers, which is why it won't just tell you to go get more of everything. WHAT YOU GET FREE - The 20-question gut test, retake anytime - The 50-question deep scan - Morning and evening check-ins, unlimited - Weekly reflection - Your first level of insights - The full strategy library - The people who shape your happiness, linked to your sources WHAT PRO ADDS - Deeper pattern insights, including AI-written ones drawn from your own check-in history - Ask your data a question, get an answer grounded in your actual history - The full Recovery Protocol - a personalized five-step reset built from your data AI insights are a Pro feature. They're written from your own check-in history, they get sharper as your data grows, and they're deliberately rate-limited - this app is built to send you back into your life, not to keep you talking to a chatbot. AN HONEST NOTE Antara is not therapy, not diagnosis, and not for a crisis. It's a self-discovery tool for people who want to take their happiness as seriously as they take their work. If you're in real trouble, please talk to a person, not an app. Built on the framework from my book, Optimize for Happiness.
