Direct2Go

Features

Direct2Go helps you find places you can actually use: wheelchair toilets, step-free entrances, automatic doors, lifts, ramps, disabled parking, adult changing places, accessible showers, hearing loops and many more features. You are not looking for "a restaurant". You are looking for a restaurant you can get into, with a toilet you can use. THE MAP β€’ Places around you, with their accessibility features. β€’ Search what’s in view: the list shows what is on your screen, the map shows every place in groups. Narrow it with Range (500 m–10 km) and filter by category and feature. β€’ Tap the crosshair in the middle of the map to pick an exact spot, even without a pin β€” then share it or navigate to it. SEARCH β€’ By name, address or keyword, also by voice. β€’ Find AED, Find toilet, Find disabled parking: you do not need to open Direct2Go first β€” press and hold the Direct2Go icon on your Home Screen and pick one. You get the nearest registered place straight away, with a clock direction and distance, on the map. WITHOUT INTERNET β€’ AEDs and toilets are stored on your iPhone, so Find AED and Find toilet answer even without a connection, with the date of the data shown. β€’ Under Offline data you can download any other category and see how much space it takes. The app keeps everything current once a day, only with internet. You decide what stays. β€’ The map background does need internet; without a connection the list becomes the main screen. DETAILS AND ACTIONS β€’ Four tabs per place: About, Facilities, Hours and Ratings. β€’ Opening hours with live status: "Closes in 25 min", "Opens tomorrow at 09:00". The whole week in one table. β€’ Ratings with a star breakdown. β€’ Navigate to or share a place with Apple Maps or Google Maps β€” your choice. β€’ Add a missing place or correct a wrong detail. WHAT'S AROUND ME β€’ Pick a category and a distance up to 500 metres; the app warns you as you get close β€” with a sound, a spoken sentence or vibration only. β€’ Alerts name the category, a clock direction and the distance: "Toilet β€” at 2 o'clock β€” 80 m". β€’ Works walking, in a wheelchair, on a bike and in the car. Pocket mode: phone in your pocket, screen locked, alerts keep coming. GPX ROUTES β€’ Import a GPX file from any route planner, or share it straight to Direct2Go. β€’ "My routes" keeps your rides: distance, climb, estimated time, elevation profile and waypoints. β€’ Ride along: watch the route roll by before you go, with height, gradient and speed. β€’ The route you had open is back next time you open the app. β€’ Optional spoken guidance on the way, with the screen off if you like. β€’ Filter places along the route: a toilet three kilometres off your path is no use to you. DIRECT2GO ROUTES β€’ Download routes checked by a person; you see who, when and what was surveyed: surface, width, kerbs, gates, benches. β€’ What is not listed was not checked β€” which is not the same as "absent". FOLLOW ME β€’ Share a link with the people close to you: they see your position, progress and estimated arrival in a browser, without an app or account. You decide when it starts and stops; nothing is kept afterwards. EVERY DAY β€’ Home address and a "Home" button: one tap to head home. β€’ Choose which voice the app uses and how fast it speaks. β€’ iPhone and iPad, light and dark mode, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver. β€’ A complete guide is in the app, under About. PRIVACY Direct2Go contains no trackers and no analytics. Your location is used to show places around you and to guide you β€” it is sent to a server only if you start "Follow me" yourself, and it disappears when you stop. Sign in with Apple is optional. AN HONEST NOTE The accessibility data comes from people, not from an algorithm. A feature may be wrong or may have changed since it was recorded, and offline data can be older than you think β€” which is why its date is shown. Report a mistake in the app and it is corrected for everyone. For routes, the app never promises that a whole route will suit you.

About

WayAhead

Features

Know every slope before you go. WayAhead analyses walking and wheelchair routes for steepness, step-free access, and distance β€” then colour-codes them on the map so you can judge whether a route is safe and comfortable before you set out. HOW IT WORKS Plan a route by entering an address or long-pressing on the map. WayAhead analyses elevation every 5 metres along the path and paints each segment green (easy), yellow (challenging), or red (steep). You'll see total distance, maximum slope, elevation gain and loss, a colour-distance breakdown, and an overall success score β€” all at a glance. PERSONALISED FOR YOU During onboarding, tell WayAhead how you move β€” manual wheelchair, electric wheelchair, or walking β€” and how far you can travel without a rest. The app tailors slope thresholds and recommends pauses before steep or long sections so you can plan with confidence. WHEELCHAIR-AWARE ROUTING WayAhead uses dedicated wheelchair routing to avoid stairs, high kerbs, and impassable barriers. Need a completely step-free route? Toggle barrier-free mode and every obstacle is routed around automatically.
