Learn the runes by heart, one a day. Every day, everyone at the forge draws the same rune. Learn its shape, its sound and what it was called, then take a short trial to fix it in your mind. Share your result, spoiler-free, and see who else is on today's leaderboard. This is not a clinical brain-trainer. No lab-coat charts, no guilt-trip streaks, nothing scientific being claimed. Miss a day and nothing is lost. THE DAILY RUNE • One rune a day, the same for every player • Eight short steps: find it, hold it in a sequence, name it • A share card that shows how you did without giving away an answer • An optional morning reminder, off unless you ask for it TWELVE LEGENDS Choose who walks with you: six women and six men from saga, history and legend. Aud the Deep-Minded, Harald Hardrada, Lagertha, Leif Erikson and more, each with their story and a rune of their own. The pairings are our own, and the app says so. THE FOUR TRIALS • Sequence Recall: watch the runes light in order, then repeat the rhythm on a 3x3 board. • Match Pairs: race the clock to find matching rune cards as the board grows. • Number Recall: hold four numbers in your mind, then find them among twelve. • Spatial Recall: remember where the marks fell on a 4x4 board, then place them again. RISE THROUGH THE OLD RANKS Every trial climbs four tiers drawn from old Norse society: Drengr, Thegn, Jarl and Konungr. Sequences lengthen, boards widen, patterns sharpen. See where you stand on leaderboards drawn inside the game. THE RUNE CODEX All 24 runes of the Elder Futhark, the oldest runic alphabet, in embossed gold. Each has its name and sound. Awaken a rune through a deed at the forge and its lore opens, with its lines from the old rune poems: the Old English poem for all 24, and the Norwegian poem where one survives. We mark what comes from the poems and what is modern reading. THE SOUND OF THE NORTH A Scandinavian announcer calls Sequence Recall and Number Recall, in a voice matched to the legend you chose. YOUR SAGA, KEPT WITH YOU • Per-trial statistics: best scores, accuracy and run history • Optional Game Center leaderboards; scores upload only if you choose • Your progress stays on your device FOR IPHONE AND IPAD One universal app, portrait on both.
