Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: CivIdle at 4.6 against Omega Protocol's 4.0. CivIdle also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Omega Protocol's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CivIdle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Omega Protocol asks for nothing beyond the download.
CivIdle holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of CivIdle's written reviews are positive against 100% of Omega Protocol's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
