Write notes, emails, letters, or blog posts in a clean interface, and bring in AI help from the provider you trust, only when you want it. You know the moment: a text is almost done, but the phrasing feels off, a typo slipped in, or translating it into English takes longer than writing it did. That's exactly what AI Text Editor is for. Write freely in a distraction-free interface. When you need it, fix spelling and grammar, rephrase a sentence, translate, summarize, or turn a rough draft into a finished text, using your own API key with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, xAI Grok, or Perplexity. Without a key, the app stays a full text and Markdown editor, no cloud required. FEATURES AT A GLANCE • Five AI providers to choose from, switch anytime • 100+ ready-made AI templates for recurring tasks, or build your own with a title, emoji, and prompt • 57 local text transformations that run fully offline, including cleanup, casing, typography, and slugify • Two toolbars right next to your text: local transformations on the left, AI templates on the right • Work on several documents at once with a tab bar and unsaved-changes indicator • iCloud sync across your devices, including conflict handling • Automatic backup point before every AI action • A dedicated AI chat for quick questions, separate from your document • Print via AirPrint, save as PDF, share as a Markdown file, import text files USE IT FOR • Making an email sound more formal before you send it • Translating a review or blog post into English • Turning a long meeting note into three sentences • Shaping a rough note into a structured text with headings PRIVACY Your texts stay local on your device, and sync encrypted through iCloud when it's turned on. Nothing is sent out unless you actively use an AI feature, and only after you've confirmed the consent dialog for that provider. API keys live only in the Keychain. No tracking, no ads, no developer servers. Download the app and get your texts done faster and with more confidence.
