CouchNotes
Read full descriptionHide full description
You sit down on the couch — and forget everything you wanted to say. Not anymore. Sofa amnesia is real. Your agenda isn't. CouchNotes is the between-sessions journal for people in therapy: jot a thought the moment it happens, tag it "bring to session", and by your next appointment it has become a one-page agenda — grouped, ordered, ready. ON THE COUCH Session Mode turns your phone into a large-type agenda. Talk through an item, check it off. Anything you didn't get to rolls into next time automatically. Afterwards, a 30-second wrap-up keeps one takeaway and your therapist's homework. BETWEEN SESSIONS Capture in under 30 seconds: one sentence, an optional feeling from a 104-word feelings wheel, intensity, a topic tag. No streaks, no scores, no pressure — this is a notebook, not a game. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE Everything is encrypted and stays on this phone. No account, no cloud, no analytics. Face ID lock, instant cover in the app switcher, notifications that only ever show a number. Export or delete your data anytime. NOTHING IS WALLED OFF All 6 agenda templates, all 120 prompts, all 40 session-skill cards, PDF agenda export for your therapist (including an anonymous version), and session insights are included for everyone. A banner appears at the bottom of the screen. An optional one-time "Remove Ads" purchase hides it. The banner is the only advertising in the app; nothing takes over the full screen. Japanese, English and Simplified Chinese. Everything except the purchase works offline. CouchNotes is a note-taking tool, not therapy, medical care, or crisis support. In an emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Space at none against CouchNotes's shown. On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per year and CouchNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
