Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: ARK Tracking at 100% against ATREK's 0%. ATREK's advantage is rating (3.2 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (45 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
ATREK holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ATREK has 45 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of ATREK's written reviews are positive against 100% of ARK Tracking's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ATREK ships an update every 5 weeks, ARK Tracking every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
