No ads. No account required. Just focus. FlowStack is a simple productivity timer, task manager, and routine app designed to beat procrastination and sharpen focus by having a clear name and timer for your task. Use it as a flexible timer for personal, work or study tasks, daily routines, or a focus tool if you struggle with multitasking or constant task switching. FlowStack keeps you on track and making real progress, one task at a time. In FlowStack, each task or to-do has an estimated duration and a timer that starts ticking down when you start the session. This makes it easier starting the task, and helps you get into a flow state by focusing on one task at a time. The current task is also shown as a Live Activity and in the Dynamic Island, making it easy to stay on task even while you're using another app. Once you're done, FlowStack pushes you into the next task. Need more time to finish the first task? Simply add more time to the timer, or continue in a flow state where time is unlimited. If you want to use it as a to-do list rather than focus session, you can also complete a task without starting the timer. Perfect for: • Procrastinators who struggle getting started • People with ADHD seeking simple focus tools • Anyone organizing tasks into daily routines • Users wanting a simple system for recurring tasks • Fans of Pomodoro and Atomic Habits (habit stacking, time blocking) • Professionals and students boosting productivity and focus • Anyone starting good habits—fitness, mental health, cleaning, learning, etc. What makes FlowStack different? • Flexible task timer. Caroline is the to do list you talk to. We built the simplest to do list you'll ever use, then gave it an AI that helps you actually get things done. Caroline is made for brains that hate to do lists. If planning your day eats all your energy before you start, Caroline does it for you. You talk, it organizes. TALK, DON'T TYPE Say what's on your mind: "I need to finish the deck by Thursday, call the dentist, get a gift for my sister before next week." Caroline writes it down, breaks it into steps, and puts it on your day. No typing. No tagging. No dragging cards between columns. WHAT YOU CAN ASK FOR - Add one task or ten, in a single breath - "Push everything from today to Friday" - "Break this down for me" for the thing you've been avoiding - "What should I do next?" when you can't decide - "What's left today?" when you've lost the thread TWO VIEWS, SAME TASKS List: everything you're carrying, nested. Schedule: your tasks laid across the day and the week. Switch between them whenever. WHY IT WORKS Every other to-do app hands you a tool and leaves you the hard part: naming the task, deciding where it goes, setting a priority, working out what today should look like. That's the work that stops you before you start. Caroline will take care of it for you. BUILT BY A SMALL TEAM We're two people who kept quitting our own to-do lists. Caroline is what we wanted to exist. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: FlowStack at every 5 days against Caroline's fortnightly. FlowStack also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. FlowStack sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Caroline sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FlowStack against 5.0 for Caroline. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlowStack has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
FlowStack ships an update every 5 days, Caroline fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
