DebitWatch

Most South Africans only notice a bad debit order when their balance is wrong. DebitWatch is the vault that catches it first. DebitWatch is a private watchdog for the recurring debits hitting your current account ā Discovery, OUTsurance, Planet Fitness, Netflix, NAEDO collections, MOBISUB charges, the lot. It surfaces every recurring debit, flags the suspicious ones, forecasts the next 90 days of cash leaving your account, and helps you dispute or cancel anything you don't recognise. Built for all major South African bank account holders. Fully on-device. We literally cannot move your money ā DebitWatch is read-only by design. WHAT IT DOES Ā· Recurring-debit detector. Import any SA bank CSV statement ā we auto-detect the columns, find the recurring patterns, and add them to your watchlist. Ā· SA-tuned risk engine. Flags NAEDO collector hits, MOBISUB-style anonymous subscriptions, post-payday first-time charges, amount drift, and looming annual renewals. Ā· 90-day forecast calendar. Gold dots on the days money is leaving. Pick a window of 30, 60, or 90 days. Ā· One-tap dispute. Drafts a SARB-compliant dispute letter pre-filled with the merchant, reference, amount, and date. Opens in Mail, addressed to your bank's disputes inbox. Ā· Vault locking. Seal a debit into the vault to stop it counting against your protection score and outflow. Ā· Local notifications. A reminder the morning of every upcoming debit, scheduled 90 days ahead. Ā· Vault Seals. Eight achievement seals to collect as you keep your vault clean ā First Lock, Watchdog, Auditor, Disputer, Vigilant, Steel Resolve, Treasury, Vault Keeper. Ā· Private by default. Statements never leave your phone unless you explicitly export them. No tracking. No advertising. No analytics. WHY IT EXISTS NAEDO and DebiCheck were built to make recurring debits convenient. They're also the abuse vector behind most of the unauthorised debits hitting SA current accounts every month. R200 here, R299 there, an "annual renewal" you forgot about ā it adds up to thousands a year. DebitWatch gives you a single pane of glass over every recurring outflow, so you catch the silent ones early. PRIVACY POSTURE Ā· Read-only. Cannot make a payment from your account. Ā· On-device. Your debit history is stored in this app's sandbox only. Ā· Optional export. Your data stays yours, in a single JSON file you can share or delete. DebitWatch is a personal vigilance tool, not a banking app. You always send any dispute or cancellation yourself, through your bank's official channels.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DebitWatch at none against EasySplit NFC Wallet's 1. DebitWatch also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 10 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
