About

Speedometer One

Features

Speedometer One shows how fast you’re going in big, clear numbers on iPhone and Apple Watch. When GPS can’t give a reliable reading, it shows -- and tells you why, instead of a made-up 0 or an old speed. Features Big Numbers Your speed fills the middle of the screen, and the arc of the gauge fills as you go faster. Tap the number to switch between mph, km/h, and knots. The screen stays on while Speedometer One is open. Honest Readings Until there’s a reliable GPS fix, the speed shows -- with a status such as Locating… or Low GPS accuracy. If the signal is lost, for example in a tunnel, your last speed stays on screen, dimmed, with the time since the last fix, then clears. Apple Watch See your speed in big numbers on your wrist, and tap the screen to switch units. The Apple Watch app is included, with no purchase needed. Readable at Every Size The speed, labels, and buttons grow with your text size, up to the largest accessibility sizes. VoiceOver reads your speed in full and tells you when the GPS signal changes. Speedometer One Pro A one-time in-app purchase adds: • Map Background — A map sits behind your speed and turns with your direction of travel. The map is built into the app, so it works without a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. • Lock Screen and Dynamic Island — A Live Activity keeps your speed and max in view without opening the app. Turn on Start Automatically to start it when you leave the app while you’re moving. • Max Speed — Your top speed, from accurate GPS readings only, kept until you reset it. • Elevation — Your altitude below your speed, in feet or meters. • Heading — The direction you’re going, as an arrow and as a compass point with degrees. • Night Mode — The display turns red on black to protect your night vision, and the map and status bar are hidden. • Haptics — Feel a tap when you set a new max speed, and a tick when you change units. Privacy Speedometer One has no accounts, ads, or tracking. Your speed is worked out on your iPhone, and your location history isn’t saved. With the map on and an internet connection, Speedometer One asks Apple’s location services for the name of the nearest town or city to show on screen. Requirements: • Speedometer One Pro is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. The Apple Watch app doesn’t need Pro. • Dynamic Island is available on supported iPhone models. • Place names require an internet connection. The map shows where you are. It doesn’t give directions.
