Alert Simulator
Read full descriptionHide full description
This app generates simulated alerts that could happen in a plane during cruise for pilot training. You can use the app in two ways: You can generate a random simulated alert at any time by pressing the Run One Now button. If you enable notifications, you can select a duration for cruise and frequency, press start flight and receive the notification in the background while doing other tasks, for example on your electronic flight bag. If you didn't enable notification you will just receive one simulated alert immediately. If you receive an simulated alert via a notification, you can click on it to see its detail on the app. The simulated alert can be either a situation, like an engine failure or a crew alerting message on your avionics, and you should determine and review all the steps required to handle the situation, identify and run checklists, information in pilot handbook, review the actions you should take. It relies on a predetermined database of alerts corresponding to the plane you select. Currently only two planes are available. The goal is for you to regularly go through the motion required for managing alert, so should a real alert happens it will be automatic. This app is open source on GitHub.
ADA Flight Deck

ADA Flight Deck is a study and self-testing tool for airline pilots operating the A320/A321. It turns the material you are expected to know by heart into short, focused drills you can run in a few minutes. WHAT IS INSIDE Limitations - the operating limitations you must recall from memory: speeds, altitudes, weights and environmental envelopes, grouped by system and by aircraft variant. Memory Items - immediate-action items for critical non-normal situations, drilled step by step until the order is automatic. Aircraft Summary - weights, fuel, cabin and wind limits of the aircraft you fly today. Crew notes - a notepad for ATC clearances: tap phrase buttons on an MCDU-style or system keyboard instead of typing. Notes stay on your device. Pilot resources - quick references; this version contains Frequencies: ground staff, transit and ATIS frequencies by airport. HOW YOU WORK WITH IT Reference - read the material as a clean, searchable list, with the source document revision shown so you always know which issue you are studying. Practice - untimed self-testing with instant feedback and a full review of what you missed. Works offline: content you have opened is cached on the device. Graded test - a full run through the module, scored on the server, available when your training department has assigned a check. Results are recorded and visible to your instructors. Aircraft Summary, Crew notes and Pilot resources are reference tools without tests. BUILT FOR THE FLIGHT DECK iPad-first layout, full iPhone support, light and dark themes. The interface follows cockpit colour conventions: cyan for actions, green for completed, amber for attention, red for failures. Progress, attempts and mistakes are kept per module, so you can see what still needs work. ACCESS Accounts are issued by your flight training department. There is no public sign-up: the study material and the test results belong to a professional training programme, and access is granted by the organisation running it. You can delete your account, together with all of your results, from Settings inside the app.
