Subix vs Chatter

LEARN LANGUAGES THROUGH MOVIES AND SERIES Want to make language learning fun and natural? With Subix, you can watch your favorite movies and series with subtitles and turn them into language lessons. HOW DOES TRANSLATION WORK? Just copy any subtitle and instantly translate it with Google Translate. Need more than a quick result? AI is built in to help you dive deeper into grammar, vocabulary, and context. CAN I LEARN MORE EFFECTIVELY? Yes! Subix lets you display dual subtitles so you can follow two languages at the same time. This makes it easier to connect meaning and structure while you watch. WHAT ABOUT LONG-TERM LEARNING? We know progress comes with practice. That’s why we’re working on a flashcard system inspired by Anki, so you can review and memorize the phrases you’ve encountered in your movies. WHY SUBIX? Because you don’t just want to watch—you want to learn. Subix transforms your viewing time into effective, engaging language practice.

Chatter is the conversation practice that Duolingo doesn't have. You know the vocabulary. You've done the flashcards. But the moment a real person talks back, everything goes blank. Chatter fixes that — an AI conversation partner that role-plays as a café waiter, hotel receptionist, business colleague, or just a friend, and talks back in your target language while quietly correcting every mistake you make. Speak in Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Korean, or 6 more languages. Chatter transcribes your voice, stays in character, and replies naturally — then shows you exactly what you said wrong, why, and the correct version. Every correction saves a vocab card to your personal deck for review later. What you get free: • AI role-play conversations in 12+ real-world scenarios (café, airport, business meeting, first date) — up to 3 conversations per day • Real-time corrections with grammar explanations — in the same chat bubble • Personal vocab deck built automatically from your mistakes • 2 languages to start • Streak tracking and daily goals • Works on-device — your conversations never leave your phone Chatter Pro (auto-renewing subscription) unlocks: • Unlimited daily role-play conversations (requires subscription) • Custom role-play scenarios you design yourself (requires subscription) • Full hands-free voice mode — speak and listen (requires subscription) • Spaced-repetition flashcard review (requires subscription) • Fluency progress dashboard — watch your error rate drop (requires subscription) • All 10+ languages (requires subscription) Language learners who use Chatter speak more in one week than a year of vocabulary drills.
