Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Email Video at 100% against Text Behind AI's 50%. Email Video also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and device support (4 vs 1). Text Behind AI's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (33 vs 1). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Behind AI sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per year. Email Video asks for nothing beyond the download.
Text Behind AI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Behind AI has 33 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Text Behind AI's written reviews are positive against 100% of Email Video's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Text Behind AI ships an update every 2 weeks, Email Video every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
