About

Polynomial Regression

Features

Polynomial Regression is your calculator and, more importantly, learning tool. You will be able to: * Construct polynomials of up to 20 degrees from either real or complex roots. * Interpolate polynomials from points by Lagrange, Newton or Vandermonde methods and Quadratic or Cubic splines. * Perform Least Squares approximation by orthogonal projection, with or without QR factorization, or partial derivatives. * Learn about each of the algorithms with derivations, proofs, step by step demonstrations, and visual tools. * Have an option to enter data by either typing or tapping on XY plane, and save data sets between program runs.

LineRegression

LREG – Linear Regression Equation Generator. Developed by Prof. Carlos FranΓ§a, the LREG is a free educational app created within the Educational Technologies Research Group (GTED) at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), Brazil. It provides an interactive environment to learn, apply, and understand the linear regression equation in a simple, intuitive, and precise way. The LREG allows users to input their own X and Y values, automatically generate the regression line equation (Y = AΓ—X + B), display the correlation coefficient (R), and explore the linear relationship between variables β€” all in an instructive format that encourages mathematical reasoning. More than an app, LREG represents the GTED/UFFS commitment to pedagogical innovation and the promotion of accessible educational technologies for everyone. It is a non-commercial project based on the philosophy of β€œdoing good for the sake of good”, emphasizing human learning and ethical technology.
