The sky keeps two appointments a day, and the moon a third. ZORIA tells you which ones are worth the trip. A SCORE, NOT A PROMISE ZORIA computes a 0-100 rating for every sunrise and every sunset, from Apple Weather data read at the exact hour of the event: low, mid and high cloud, humidity, visibility, chance of precipitation. The model is deliberately simple and openly stated. Mid and high clouds are the canvas that catches the light — the optimum sits around 50 % cover, because an empty sky has nothing to colour and an overcast sky has nothing to light. Low clouds cut the light at its source: they are what ruins a sunset. A sky forecast at 85 can disappoint. A sky forecast at 40 can surprise you. That is weather, and ZORIA does not pretend otherwise. EXACT TIMES, COMPUTED ON YOUR PHONE Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour, solar azimuth. All computed astronomically on the device, to the minute, with no connection required. TEN DAYS OF FORECAST, FREE FOR EVERYONE Every day shows its score, its golden window and its event time. Set your alert threshold: at 90 you will hear almost nothing. That is the point. THE ATLAS: 37,220 VIEWPOINTS Overlooks, orientation tables, promontories: 37,220 places in 102 countries, drawn from OpenStreetMap, each with its own sunset time, altitude and bearing. Sort them by distance and go to the right place, not just at the right time. ALONG THE AXIS The two days of the year when the sun will set exactly along the axis of a given viewpoint. An overlook does not move; the sun travels tens of degrees of horizon between December and June. ZORIA computes the date. YOUR PHOTOS, TIED TO THEIR SKY Shoot from inside the app: every image keeps the score, the place and the moment it was taken. Your album stays on your phone unless you publish something. THE GALLERY Other people's photos, taken that same evening, with the sky score of the moment. Publishing is a choice, never a default, and a published photo is withdrawn with one tap. No coordinates ever travel with a photo — only a place name. THE MOON Tonight's moon, drawn at its real phase and tilted the way you will actually see it from where you stand: illumination, moonrise, moonset, the next full moon, the next new moon. For your city or any other. Free. With Pro: the evenings when the full moon will rise along the axis of a viewpoint in the Atlas. Two to five dates a year for a given place, and ZORIA marks the ones where the landscape will still be lit. THE EVENING LOG Record what you actually saw. ZORIA compares your notes against its forecasts and computes how often it was right. You will know exactly how much to trust it. PASSPORT AND STREAK The time zones you have crossed, and the consecutive days you came out for the light. WHO IT IS FOR Landscape photographers, hikers, and anyone who watches the sky without a camera. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE, AND WHAT DOES NOT No ads, no tracker, no advertising identifier, no analytics. Solar times are computed on the device. Your photo album is on the device. For the weather, a pair of coordinates rounded to the kilometre is sent with no identifier attached. What does leave, and only if you decide so: a photo you publish to the gallery, with a nickname and a place name. Never coordinates. The gallery account exists only to publish, and the app is fully usable without one. ZORIA PRO Solar times, the sky score and all ten forecast days stay free, forever. ZORIA Pro adds: The Atlas and Along the Axis The full moon along the axis Alerts for every place you follow, at sunrise as well as sunset Unlimited followed places Statistics from your evening log Everything we add next, included Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or a Founder pass paid once and kept for life.
