DCS Lithium battery monitoring system. Time Remaining; Time remaining or time-to-go averaging period controls how smooth or stable the "Time remaining" estimate is. It does this by averaging load data over a set period of time (in minutes). The default value is 3 minutes. If you set it to 0 minutes, the system will show real-time duration without any averaging. However, this can make the "Time remaining" estimate jump around a lot. If you set it to 3 minutes, the system will smooth out short-term changes and only consider long-term trends, making the "Time remaining" estimate more stable. Cycle Count; The cycle count shows how much the battery has been used over its lifetime. For example, a 48V battery that powers a family home all day, every day, might rack up 200 cycles per year. On the other hand, a 12V battery in a caravan or fishing boat that’s only used occasionally might only reach 10 cycles per year. All DCS batteries come with an unlimited cycle warranty, meaning it doesn’t matter how often or how hard you use them - they’re built to last longer than any other batteries on the market. The "Current threshold" is fixed at 0.2A which helps ignore tiny electrical currents that could cause inaccurate battery readings. If the actual current is 0.0A but small electrical noise makes the battery monitor detect -0.05A, over time, this could incorrectly show that the battery is empty or needs recharging. With the Current Threshold fixed to 0.2A, the monitoring system treats anything smaller as zero, preventing these small errors and keeping the battery readings accurate. For a 12V battery to be considered fully charged, its voltage must be at least 14.0V. Once the battery monitor detects that the voltage has exceeded this level and the charging current has dropped below a set limit for a certain period, it will update the battery’s state of charge to 100%. Battery Status; A battery pack can be in one of three main states: Charging – The battery is gaining power Discharging – The battery is being used to power something Standby – The battery is in low-power mode, not charging or discharging While charging, the Battery Management System (BMS) checks the battery’s temperature and capacity to indicate whether it's being charged at a normal, fast, or super-fast rate. If something unusual happens - like the battery being completely drained, overcharged, charged too quickly, or getting too hot or too cold - the system will detect and display this information.

About

TowCalc

Features

See every towing limit at once, before you leave the yard. TowCalc turns your tow vehicle ratings, your hitch ratings and a trailer weight into a clear read on how safely you are loaded. Enter the numbers off the door jamb label and a scale ticket, and the app checks every limit and tells you how much headroom is left. WHAT IT DOES - GVWR: the loaded vehicle against its rating, with the payload you have used and what is left. - GCWR: the vehicle and trailer together against the combined rating, with headroom to spare. - Tongue weight: the percent on the ball against the healthy 10 to 15 percent target, and the exact weight to aim for. - Axle and hitch checks: the combined front and rear axle rating, and the hitch tongue and trailer ratings, for a weight carrying or a weight distributing setup. - Largest trailer: the single biggest trailer this rig can pull, with the weakest link named, whether that is the combined rating, the payload, or the hitch. - Clear warnings the moment any limit is passed or the tongue is too light or too heavy. - Metric or imperial throughout: pounds or kilograms. SAVE YOUR RIGS Save each truck as a profile and keep the trailers you tow as loads under it. Reopen a rig in one tap, compare loads on a chart across your history, and watch the app grow more useful the more you tow. Nothing leaves your iPhone. LOAD PLACEMENT GUIDE See how to shift the load to land in the tongue weight target, and an estimate of how the tongue adds weight to the rear axle and lifts it off the front, from your wheelbase and hitch overhang. Practical loading tips included. FREE AND PRO The full single calculation is free, forever. The one-time Pro unlock adds saved vehicle profiles and loads, the load placement guide, and export. There is no subscription: pay once and keep it. PRO EXPORT Export a per-rig PDF tow sheet with the ratings and every load, and a CSV of your whole library, straight from the share sheet. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no cloud, no tracking. Every rig you enter stays on your device. TowCalc is a planning aid, not a certified weight. Always confirm actual weights on a certified scale and follow your vehicle and hitch ratings before towing.
