FTCollector

FTCollector is FloraTrace's field app for cotton sample collection. Access is restricted to authorized FloraTrace team members using their company Google account. Create a Site using its generated Site ID or an optional name, record its GPS location, and collect multiple Samples at that location. Each saved Sample has a permanent Site ID / Sample ID bag label, making it easy to match the physical bag to its digital record. New labels use short sequential numbers prepared on the phone before offline work. Capture sample photos with available camera metadata and a separate GPS reading when location is available. Original camera-returned images and viewing copies are retained with file integrity hashes. Add notes and mark Samples collected. Sites, Samples, and photos are saved on the phone, so collection can continue without an internet connection after initial sign-in and preparation. Reconnect and open FTCollector to synchronize saved changes with FloraTrace's web admin. Use the Sites, Maps, Sync, and Account tabs to navigate your field work. Download USA state overview maps and Site-area detail while connected for later offline viewing. Check the saved GPS pin against the map to verify a Site's recorded location. The Sync tab shows changes waiting to upload. Marking a Sample collected requests synchronization when connected; offline changes remain queued. Reporting and exports are handled through FloraTrace's web admin. An active FloraTrace account is required. Sign in and prepare IDs and offline maps before field work. Keep the app installed until pending changes have synchronized.
