Capitol Lens puts the complete record of every member of Congress in your pocket — votes, stock trades, party loyalty, committee conflicts, and more. All data comes from official U.S. government records. No spin. No commentary. Just the record, presented clearly so you can draw your own conclusions. PERSONALIZED HOME FEED Follow your representatives and the issues you care about. Capitol Lens finds your two senators and one representative by zip code and builds a feed around their activity — recent votes, new bills, and stock trades. Add any member of Congress to your feed to track them over time. FOUR ORIGINAL ANALYTICS TOOLS Most political apps summarize the news. Capitol Lens surfaces patterns in the data that are hard to spot elsewhere: Maverick Score — Measures how often a member breaks with their own party on floor votes. A high score means genuine independence. A low score means near-perfect party loyalty. Calculated from every recorded vote in the current session. Ghost Voter — Tracks missed votes. Every member is expected to vote on nearly every roll call. Ghost Voter reveals who shows up and who disappears — and whether absences cluster around specific topics. Conflict Radar — Flags potential conflicts of interest by surfacing stock trades that overlap with a member's committee assignments. A senator on the Armed Services Committee trading defense stocks gets highlighted. You decide what to make of it. Power Trader — Ranks members by stock trading volume alongside their institutional power (leadership roles, committee chairs). Members with high power and high trading activity stand out immediately. INSIGHTS LEADERBOARDS See who tops the charts across Congress: the biggest mavericks, the most prolific traders, the worst attendance records, and the most flagged conflicts. Drill into any member's full profile from the leaderboard. COMPREHENSIVE MEMBER PROFILES Full profiles for all 535 current senators and representatives: - Party, state, district, leadership roles, committee assignments - Complete voting record with party-break highlights - Stock trade timeline with asset type, value ranges, and dates - Ideology label (Strong Liberal to Strong Conservative) - Contact information with Call, Website, and Email buttons EXPLORE BY ISSUE Browse 34 policy areas — from healthcare and taxes to defense and immigration. See recently active bills, enacted legislation, and filter by congress session or status. POWERFUL SEARCH Full-text search across members, bills, and policy areas. Filter by chamber, party, state, bill status, or issue category. BY THE NUMBERS - 535 current members of Congress - 179,000+ bills and resolutions - 636,000+ recorded floor votes - 38,000+ stock trade disclosures DATA SOURCES All data sourced directly from official U.S. government records: - Voting records: clerk.house.gov and senate.gov - Member information: Congress.gov (Library of Congress) - Stock trades: Senate (efts.senate.gov) and House (disclosures.house.gov) financial disclosures - Bill text and summaries: Congress.gov and GovInfo (govinfo.gov) Data is bundled with the app and updated with each release.
