FrostGuard tells you tonight whether frost will form by morning, so you know whether to cover your windscreen, take care on the roads or protect your plants. Most weather apps only forecast the air. FrostGuard works out how cold the surface you care about will get: your windscreen, the road or path, or the grass. It looks at temperature, humidity, dew point, wind and cloud hour by hour, then gives a clear Low, Moderate or High risk. Choose how you use it: • Windscreen / Emergency Response: a clear car in the morning, with advice on covering the glass. • Driving, Walking & Cycling: icy roads, paths and bike routes, including rain before a freeze. • Gardening: ground frost and frozen soil, so tender plants and seedlings are protected in time. Every forecast explains itself in plain words: how cold the air gets, how wind and cloud change the cooling, and why that adds up to your risk. • A daily alert at the time you choose • The next 48 hours on one graph, with tonight's and tomorrow night's lows • Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen • Apple Watch app and complications • CarPlay: tonight's risk and what to do, on your car's screen • Nightstand mode: turn your iPhone on its side for a bedside frost clock • Made for iPhone Duo, iPad and every iPhone • Fine-tune mode: tell FrostGuard whether there was frost, and it learns your spot • 12 languages, with °C or °F and mph or km/h from your iPhone's settings Private by design: no account, no ads. Made by a UK firefighter who needed a clear windscreen when called out on a frosty night.

*** One-time purchase – no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases forever *** Protect your fields, fruit trees, and gardens with precise frost forecasts – tailored exactly to your location. NightFrost shows the probability of night and ground frost for the next three nights and calculates the minimum temperature at 2 m height and at ground level. Physical background: After sunset, the earth loses heat toward the sky – especially strongly when there are no clouds. As a result, the near-ground air also cools. The cooling stops as soon as the air becomes cold enough for the contained water vapour to condense into dew or fog. This releases heat, which slows down the cooling and can prevent ground frost. How much the temperature drops at night therefore depends on the so-called dew point. If the dew point is at 0 °C or below in the evening, ground frost is to be expected during the following night. The lower the dew point, the higher the risk. The more parameters are taken into account, the more accurate the forecast. NightFrost applies the proven, scientifically based Magnus dew point formula automatically, hour by hour, to the weather forecast for the next three nights – not just to a single snapshot. Additional parameters allow it to achieve a particularly high accuracy of well over 95%. Additional parameters are: • Wind speed • Cloud cover • Topography (e.g. depressions, hills) • Soil moisture • Location (city, settlement, countryside) • Snow cover Why NightFrost is more accurate than a standard weather forecast: Standard weather forecasts are regional and cannot capture every cold air accumulation, valley basin, or other local condition. They therefore only provide regional probabilities, which often do not apply locally. NightFrost combines the automatic forecast with your personal location profile and can additionally be refined with your own on-site measurement: from about an hour before sunset, enter your own measured temperature and humidity to adjust the forecast for the coming night even more precisely to the real conditions. Your benefits: • Reliably plan frost protection measures • Protect sensitive plants and crops • Minimise yield and quality losses With NightFrost, farmers, winegrowers, gardeners, and beekeepers are always one step ahead of the cold. NightFrost – your personal early warning system against night and ground frost.
