Serendipity is a discovery app that serves you one genuinely interesting web page at a time - the good part of the old internet, curated for quality instead of engagement. There's no feed to scroll, no algorithm optimizing for your attention, and no dark patterns designed to keep you here longer than you meant to stay. Just swipe or tap the Surf button, and read something worth reading. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT - Built to end the session, not extend it. After a good run of stumbles, Serendipity gently suggests you might be done for now - instead of trying to pull you back in. - We refuse to manipulate you, even when it would work. Every so often you'll be offered "Two Doors" - a blind choice between two next pages. We make no claim that one is better than the other, because we can't back that up. Most apps wouldn't tell you that. - Save what you love, and hand off a page you found with a real, working link - not a screenshot or an in-app-only grab. - Your data is yours, and we mean it literally. No login, no email, no name - just a random ID on your device. One tap deletes everything, permanently, immediately. - Curated for quality, honest about what it doesn't know. Every page passes a real quality and safety check before it's ever shown to you - not an algorithmic firehose. WHAT YOU'LL FIND History, science, comedy, food, old-web oddities, design, geopolitics, and more - one page at a time, matched to what you actually enjoy, not what keeps you scrolling. Serendipity is operated by Valleyport Ltd, a UK company. Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are linked in the app.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: WikiScroll at 3.6 against Serendipity's 3.0. WikiScroll also leads on ratings volume (17 vs 1). Serendipity's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
