Know you’re online—and whether it’s usable—before the call drops. Reachable answers one question when you join a new network: Is this actually the internet, and is it good enough to use? What you get Automatic check on launch — no hunt for a “run test” button. Latency — quick HTTP timing so you can see if the network feels responsive. Download speed — a simple Mbps snapshot, not a lab report. Your public IP — useful when you’re debugging VPNs, tunnels, or “why does this site see the wrong place?” A human verdict — plain language like what kind of use the connection is probably fine for. Captive portal help — when the Wi‑Fi wants a login page, open it in-app and get past the splash screen. Why location is requested On iOS, Approximate Location is used so the app can read the Wi‑Fi network name (SSID) you’re on. Reachable doesn’t need your precise location to run the checks. Built for real life Coffee shops, airports, coworking, guest networks, and “it says I’m connected but nothing loads.”
