The Nordic ski timing app built by coaches, for coaches. NordicRaceTrace turns your iPhone or iPad into a race timer built for the way Nordic coaches actually work. Take splits anywhere on the course, time the finish line at your local club event, or run a team time trial — from the rollerski loop and the running track to college carnivals and beyond — and share results live with athletes, parents, and fans. — SPLIT TIMING — Stand anywhere on the course and tap bibs as athletes pass. NordicRaceTrace shows each skier's time back from the leader at your spot — and, from the second pass, who is gaining or losing places, so you know exactly what to shout. • Mass starts, 15/20/30-second intervals, or custom start times from a start list • Tap the same bib again for the next lap — no lap setup needed • Tap a name tile instead of typing when a start list is loaded • Highlight your team or follow up to five athletes — RACE TIMING — A complete finish-line workflow. • Impulse + Post: capture the time the instant an athlete crosses, and confirm the bib before or after • FIS start sequence out loud — five beeps and a start tone for every interval starter • Mark DNS, DNF, or DSQ with a long press, reversible any time • Ties ranked correctly; the screen stays awake for the whole race • Times are saved continuously and survive a crash or force-quit — TEAM TIME TRIAL — Time your roster by name — no bibs. Ideal for practice and pre-season tests like a 3000 m track run or a hill climb. • Build the start list on nordicracetrace.com or in the app, set the order, and load it in seconds • Add a guest racer on the spot and keep their result • Simple mode (tap the name) or Accurate mode (tap Impulse, then the name) • Results save straight to your team page, with personal bests across the season — HARDWARE TIMER (BETA) — Connect a Summit race timer over Bluetooth for hardware-accurate finish times and use of peripherals like start wand, finish beam, clocks, and plungers. Start the race from the timer for an exact clock lock; if the link drops, the timer keeps every record and a Reprint pulls back anything missed. Every time carries the timer's own tape number so results can be checked line by line and are accurate to the timer's FIS standards. — START LISTS — Import from public race start lists on nordicracetrace.com, a CSV file, a photo of a printed list, or type them in. — SHARE RESULTS LIVE — • Tap Share Live to publish a public results link — no login needed to view • Add a second phone as a co-timer; times merge automatically • Review, correct, and publish final results on the web reconcile page • Clear warnings if times stop reaching the server — your times are always safe on the phone — WORKS WITH YOUR TEAM — • Sign in with Apple or Google • Build your roster on nordicracetrace.com and it syncs to the app • Recurring events track all-time standings and personal bests through the season • Export results to CSV or PDF, or share by text or email • Works offline — timing never needs a connection — FREE & PRO — • Free: time races and splits on the number pad without a start list, view results, save to Events, follow live races • Pro (7-day free trial): start list import, team time trials, Share Live and co-timers, and creating Events Built by Patrick Cote (former Executive Director, NENSA) with co-developer Tracey Cote (Colby College head coach), and tested by top collegiate and club coaches across the US and Europe. Used from high school racing and junior development clubs to NCAA Nationals and the World Cup. We are always available for questions, comments, and improvement requests.
