LCR Stereo Chorus Plugin (AUv3) LcrChorus is an audio effect plugin that can run standalone, or in any AU compatible host application such as Logic or GarageBand. Overview LcrChorus is a stereo chorus effect inspired by the "LCR Chorus" in the Korg Wavestate synthesizer. The chorus effect is achieved by modulating the time of a delayed version of the dry signal with a triangle waveform. Typically, these delay times are very short, around 20ms. LcrChorus differs from most chorus DSP algorithms by processing the left, centre and right channels independently, which can create a very dense and spacious stereo effect. Parameters Active - Toggles the effect On or Off. Rate (L/C/R) - Varies the modulation of the LFO frequency between 0.1-10.0 Hz for the specified channel. L = left, C = centre, R = right. The LFOs for each channel are not in phase with each other so a stereo effect will still occur, even if the three LFO rates are the same. Depth (L/C/R) - Sets the amount of delay modulation, as a percentage of the maximum modulation delay time for the specified channel. If the name sounds familiar, LcrChorus is a version of the LCR CHORUS module developed for Voltage Modular by Waverley Instruments. TETSUO is a chaotic percussion machine. No samples, no library. One voice built out of a pitched body with noise dragged through it, a resonant filter that saturates the harder you lean on it, a bitcrusher, and a waveshaper that runs from a bit of weight to total structural failure. The sequencer is sixteen unseen slots and STEPS knob decides how many of them fire, adding and taking away hits one at a time in a fixed order, so you can strip a pattern to the bone and build it back and the same beats come home. The SKIP control works against you on purpose, stealing hits at random while it plays, so it never quite settles. MUTATE modulates the pitch at random, setting fire to voices on every turn. You do not program TETSUO so much as negotiate with it. The strip along the top is how you attempt to hold onto anything. Sixty four steps, four turns of pattern, carved into as many as eight sections. Select a section. Find a sound. Hit RECORD, and that section keeps every knob position. Change it, record the next, then hit PLAY and it walks left to right dropping each snapshot in as it reaches it, looping. Drag the dividers to give a section longer or cut it short. It keeps settings, not audio, so the engine is playing live the entire way through. Sections save with your presets and your session. AUv3 and standalone.

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: LcrChorus at $1.99 against TETSUO's $9.99. LcrChorus also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

LcrChorus costs $1.99 and TETSUO $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for LcrChorus against 5.0 for TETSUO. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LcrChorus has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
