DecksMD turns the notes you already have into flashcards — no syntax, no second copy. Point it at your markdown vault and every heading becomes a card: the heading is the front, the text beneath it is the back. Nothing to import, nothing to maintain twice. Edit the note and the card changes with it. STUDY WHAT'S DUE Scheduling by FSRS-6 — the same algorithm Anki uses — so you review what needs reviewing and stop when you're done. Cards, cloze deletions, tables, image occlusion and exams, all from plain markdown. CAPTURE FROM ANYWHERE Share a paragraph from Safari, Mail or any other app and it lands in your vault. The first line becomes the front, the rest becomes the back. Or file it as a plain note and come back to it later. TURN A CHAPTER INTO A DECK Attach a PDF, pick the sections you actually need, and get cards from those pages — including scanned chapters and lecture slides, transcribed first so the maths survives. YOUR FILES STAY YOURS A real markdown editor with properties, tags and a toolbar. Everything lives as plain files in a folder you choose — no database, no lock-in, works offline. Compatible with Obsidian vaults and any folder of markdown. MAKE IT YOURS Fifteen palettes in light and dark — Nord, Gruvbox, Solarized, Catppuccin, E-ink and more. COMING FROM ANKI? Import an .apkg and your decks, cards, media and full review history come with you. Your cards resume on FSRS-6 right where Anki left them. ONE-TIME PURCHASE No subscription for the app itself. AI card generation and PDF transcription are optional and require DecksMD Pro (sold separately at decksmd.app) — or bring your own API key from Anthropic, Google or a local model, free. Everything else — reviewing, scheduling, statistics, capture, import — works without either. SUBSCRIPTION DecksMD Pro — €9.99/month, auto-renewing. Includes AI card generation from your notes and PDFs. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel it in your device settings.
