YoYo runs the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 1 the way the official protocol specifies it: 91 shuttles from level 5 to level 23, 2 × 20 m each with 10 seconds of active recovery, 3640 m in total. TIMING YOU CAN TRUST Every beep is scheduled on the device's audio clock from a single start time, so a full 30-minute run does not drift. The screen shows the animated field, the current shuttle code and a countdown between shuttles, all derived from the same clock. RUN A WHOLE SQUAD Add your athletes before the test. During the run each athlete has a tile: tap once for a warning, tap again when they drop out and their last completed shuttle and distance are recorded. The test ends when everyone is out. Undo is always available. VOICE AND TICKS Each shuttle is announced ("Level 12 · 3 shuttles · 12 point 1") with 3-2-1 ticks before every start. Both can be turned off. APPLE WATCH With the watch app open, the watch mirrors the phone's clock and taps your wrist at every start, turn and finish beep, so runners feel the cues even on a windy oval. It records heart rate through the test as a Health workout and captures recovery heart rate one minute after the finish. RESULTS Final level, distance, estimated VO₂max (Bangsbo, Iaia & Krustrup 2008) and duration for the group and for each athlete. Copy or share results as a spreadsheet-ready table. History is kept on the device. Made for coaches, sports scientists and PE teachers.
