Neo Keyboard vs NumRow
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side โ with what reviewers say about each.
Neo Keyboard
Read full descriptionHide full description
This is an implementation of the Neo keyboard layout for iOS. Since Neo wasn't designed to be used on small touch screens, a direct port of the desktop layout wouldn't be very useful. Instead, this port adapts the layout, taking cues from Apple's implementation of the QWERTY-layout (see screenshots for the exact layout). This project is in an early stage. It is fully functional and ready to be used, but it doesn't yet implement any equivalent of layers 5 and 6 of the Neo layout. There also isn't any autocompletion, or autocorrection. These things might be released in future updates, but there is no timeline. The project is open source, so if there is something you'd like to see, feel free to add it yourself. If you add something useful, you can also open a Pull Request for your changes to be merged into the App Store version.
NumRow
Read full descriptionHide full description
Numbers should not be hidden behind another keyboard layout. NumRow gives you a familiar QWERTY keyboard with a permanent 0โ9 row above the letters. Enter addresses, verification codes, measurements, dates and everyday details without constantly switching between letters and numbers. FAMILIAR TYPING NumRow is designed around the keyboard layout you already know, with responsive keys, key previews, automatic capitalization, Shift, Caps Lock and hold-to-delete. NUMBERS ALWAYS READY The permanent number row keeps every digit within reach while you type. Standard punctuation, symbols and emoji are also included. MADE FOR EVERYDAY TEXT FIELDS NumRow adapts to normal text, email, URL and numeric fields, with appropriate keys and Return actions for each context. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No Full Access is required. NumRow has no account, analytics, advertising, tracking or network connection. What you type never leaves your device. QUICK SETUP 1. Open the Settings app 2. Tap General 3. Tap Keyboard 4. Tap Keyboards, then Add New Keyboard 5. Choose NumRow Once enabled, hold the globe key whenever a keyboard is visible and choose NumRow.
