Fly an aircraft family and its card is yours. Land somewhere new and the airport joins the board, drawn with its real runway layout. Rarity is real: an aircraft's tier comes from how many airlines still fly it, an airport's from how many passengers actually pass through it. The regional jet you ride every week is common. Binghamton is not. SCAN YOUR BOARDING PASS Point the camera at a boarding pass, upload a screenshot or share one from Wallet — current or expired. An imported boarding pass proves you had one, so the flight will display a verified badge. If you lost it or no longer have it, you can enter the flight details manually but you will not get the verified flight badge. FREE (AND HERES HOW) Working out the exact airplane you sat in means reading the tail number on the side of your plane or asking a flight data service (and those charge per lookup). An app paying for that has to get the money back somewhere: a subscription, ads, or your data. CardBoard doesn't pay for it and does not want your data to sell. You paste in your own free keys and the app asks with that. A free tier covers far more flying than most people do in a year and no server to run means no bills to pass on. Aircraft Lookup is optional too — logging, cards, trips, stats, the map and Wallet import all work with no key at all, and offline.
