Pace Monster

A monster is always behind you. Pace Monster turns your iPhone's step counter into a chase. A cute monster walks at your daily step goal, all day, every day. Every step you take keeps you ahead of it. Sit still too long and it closes in. If it catches you, you lose a heart. Lose every heart in one day and it evolves into something scarier, and your streak breaks. A walking game for anyone who wants a reason to move. No workouts. No sessions. No GPS. Just walk. HOW IT WORKS • Pick your daily pace (2,000–12,000 steps) and how many hearts you get each day • Your iPhone's motion sensor drives the chase. Add the Home Screen widget and one glance shows how close it is • Wear an Apple Watch? Allow Apple Health and your watch steps join the chase. The watch app and complication show the monster on your wrist • The monster's face tells the story: oblivious when you're safely ahead, game face when it's gaining, genuinely scary when it's close • Hit your daily goal and the monster falls asleep until tomorrow. Nothing catches you after that • Win a day and it calms down a phase. Get wiped out and it evolves into a faster, meaner monster • Every day lands on your streak calendar. Tap any day to see how it went, hour by hour BUILT TO BE FAIR • Every 7-day streak earns a freeze token, and you can hold two. Sick, injured or traveling? Freeze the day and your streak survives • Pause everything, any time, penalty-free • Steps past double your pace earn nothing extra. This is a walking game, not a grinding game • Walking is always enough. Running is never required • Changes to your pace or hearts start tomorrow, so every day is played by the rules it started with YOUR DATA • No account needed. No GPS • Steps come from your iPhone's motion sensor and, if you allow it, from Apple Health (HealthKit), so Apple Watch steps count too. Pace Monster reads steps only, never writes to Apple Health, and processes them on your iPhone. Health data is never used for ads or shared with anyone • Create an optional account (Sign in with Apple, Google or email) to back up your streak and settings for a new phone • Export or erase everything from Settings • Two short video ads and nothing more: one before you spend a freeze token, and at most one a day when you open your streak history. Never when you get caught, and pausing is always ad-free Choose your pace. Stay ahead. Don't get caught.
