Catchmark helps you keep the fishing stories worth remembering. Take or import a photo of your catch for AI-assisted fish identification. Review the match, correct it if needed, then save the details: photo, date, private location, length, weight, water and notes. With Catchmark, you can: • Identify fish from a catch photo • Keep a private fishing journal • See your catches on a personal map • Track new species, first catches and personal bests • Explore regional collections and a 500-species illustrated global guide • Create photo-led catch cards to share without revealing your exact location Catchmark is built for anglers who want more than a camera roll full of fish photos. Your original catch photos, private notes and exact locations stay on your device. When you request identification, Catchmark sends a resized, metadata-stripped copy of your photo for analysis. Exact locations are never included in shared catch cards. Fish identification and measurement results are AI-assisted suggestions, not guarantees. Do not rely on Catchmark for fishing regulations, species safety, consumption advice or conservation decisions. Always use your judgment and current local guidance. Catchmark includes one complimentary identification. Catchmark Pro is an auto-renewable monthly or annual subscription required for continued fish identification and access to Catchmark’s features. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Verdict
Catchr and Catchmark are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Catchr sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Catchmark sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
