Inline Translator brings private translation to the apps you already use. Select text in Safari, Mail, Notes, or another app, tap the system Translate action, and get the result without leaving your workflow. What you can do - Translate selected text from the system Translate menu - Run translations entirely on device, without an account, API key, or network - Define unfamiliar words and ask questions about selected text - Replace selected text with its translation where supported - Choose Private Cloud Compute or a compatible provider only when you want a network engine Why users love it - Private by default: on-device requests never leave your iPhone or iPad - Systemwide convenience: works wherever the Translate action is available - Native design with Dynamic Type, Dark Mode, and VoiceOver-friendly controls How it works 1) Select text in Safari, Mail, Notes, or another app. 2) Tap Translate in the selection menu. 3) Choose Translator, then translate, define, or ask. Notes - On-device translation may require language downloads. Define, Ask, and fallback translation require a compatible Apple Intelligence device. - Private Cloud Compute and compatible provider modes require network access and may have separate eligibility or quota limits.
