NWRL Connect vs Cadence

Companion library catalog app for the Northwest Regional Library in Minnesota. Search books, place holds, renew loans, and access ebooks and eaudio. To use this app, you need a library card at a participating member library.

Cadence turns your books into audiobooks, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. LISTEN TO YOUR BOOKS • Import a book (EPUB) and listen right away, read aloud by natural, expressive text-to-speech voices. • Synchronized word-by-word highlighting (karaoke): the text lights up in time with the voice. • Dialogue Cast: a different voice for each character, with real intonation — like a true audio narration. • Set the speed, pick your voice, and listen in the background or with the screen locked. OR READ, IF YOU PREFER • An elegant, comfortable reader (themes, fonts, layout) for quiet reading. • Automatic resume at the right page; bookmarks, highlights, and notes synced across your devices. A SMART ASSISTANT • A "previously in the story" recap when you pick a book back up. • Comprehension quizzes and questions about the story, spoiler-free. • Translate a passage in a single tap. TRACK YOUR LISTENING • Listening stats, daily goals, and progress. • Offline downloads so you can listen anywhere, even with no connection. Cadence is free to listen every day. The Pro subscription unlocks unlimited listening, all premium voices, Dialogue Cast, the unlimited AI assistant, and full offline support. Cadence Pro is an auto-renewable subscription.
