Break Through the Intermediate Plateau – and Finally Become Fluent Tired of beginner apps and textbook dialogs? BlablaPal is built for serious language learners who are stuck in the middle — too advanced for basic content, but not quite fluent yet. Speak with confidence at any time of day — no need to wait for a language exchange partner. Read engaging articles about topics you care about, look up unfamiliar words, and save them to your personal dictionary. Then, practice your weakest vocabulary with exercises that challenge you to recall, build sentences, and use words in real contexts. This isn’t passive learning — it’s for learners who want to use their brain and make real progress. Fluency Tool is a Japanese speaking app built around Echo Fluency: a hands-free shadowing loop. A JLPT-graded sentence plays in a native voice, your microphone opens on its own, you repeat it, your recording plays back, and speech recognition scores the attempt. WHAT YOU CAN PRACTICE Echo Fluency Shadowing No button to press: the mic opens automatically after playback. Hear your own recording immediately after the model and get an instant speech-recognition score. Sentences you miss re-queue in the same session. SM-2 Flashcards, Anki-Compatible Rate cards Again, Hard, Medium, or Easy. SM-2 sets the next interval from your rating and each card's ease factor. JLPT decks for all five levels are preloaded; long-press any kanji for on'yomi, kun'yomi, and meaning. JLPT Grammar Guide, N5 to N1 Every pattern in one reference, native audio on each example, a quiz on tap. Status tracks as Learning, Reviewing, or Mastered. Vocabulary Games From Your Own Decks Fever Pitch, kanji Hangman, matching, and crosswords, generated from the words you are actively studying. WHO IT IS FOR Intermediate learners (N4-N2) who read Japanese but hesitate to speak it. JLPT candidates who want speaking practice organized by the same level structure as the exam, since the JLPT tests reading and listening only. Learners who already know what shadowing and spaced repetition are and want a system, not a game. HOW IT WORKS Pick a JLPT level and sub-level in onboarding (25 total). Speaking, flashcards, grammar, and games all draw on that level's content, so progress in one shows up in the others. The Dashboard tracks your daily goal, a 7- or 30-day activity chart, and a roadmap across all 25 sub-levels. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT One set of graded content, four practice loops. The core loop is hands-free and scores your actual speech, not a tapped multiple-choice answer. BEFORE YOU START You need to read hiragana and katakana; the app does not teach them. Everything else is covered in onboarding, including TTS voice, playback speed, and recording mode. Echo Fluency and speech recognition need an internet connection. Flashcards, games, and crosswords work offline. Core features are free, with no subscription and no trial. One optional one-time in-app purchase removes banner ads.
