Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Komic at 4.8 against MangaHello's 4.2. Komic also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 50%) and ratings volume (52 vs 10). MangaHello's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Komic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and MangaHello sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Komic holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Komic has 52 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Komic's written reviews are positive against 50% of MangaHello's.
Komic ships an update every 2 weeks, MangaHello every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
