StreetBuzz is a news and social media mobile app delivering suburb-specific crime alerts and community updates. Designed on the Gold Coast and built in Brisbane, StreetBuzz is an Australian-made platform focused on local communities. It provides a structured and trustworthy alternative to traditional social media and mainstream media, helping residents stay informed and make up their own minds about what’s happening around them. With StreetBuzz you can: Receive real-time crime alerts and public safety updates Share community updates Report lost, found or stolen items View suburb-specific feeds Engage in meaningful local discussion Build reputation through our StreetCred system Unlike traditional platforms, StreetBuzz prioritises relevance, quality content and local awareness. Posts are structured by location, category and trust signals to help users quickly understand what matters most in their area. By default, users receive alerts and notifications within a radius around their home suburb, ensuring updates are geographically relevant. Content can also be filtered to explore other areas when desired. StreetBuzz is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000. Our mission is simple: reconnect communities with reliable local information. Curated Community Content.
