Learn languages by reading and listening to real texts. Apakabar.fm brings you short, engaging texts, fully voiced with professional audio. Read in the original, see the translation, or switch to bilingual view with one tap. WHAT MAKES APAKABAR.FM DIFFERENT: Eleven languages from English: Latin, Bengali and Egyptian Arabic, next to Polish, Serbian, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Russian. If you have been looking for a Latin learning app that gives you actual Latin to read, or for a way to learn Egyptian Arabic rather than Modern Standard, this is built for exactly that. Real comprehensible input, not gamified drills: Every text is about something real: a city, a custom, a dish, a piece of history. No XP points. No hearts. No artificial streaks. Just genuine reading that builds your language naturally. BILINGUAL BOOKS, ONLY SHORTER: Side by side reading works the same way here as in a parallel text edition, with the original and the translation one tap apart. The difference is that a text takes a few minutes, every one of them is narrated, and each one comes in an easy, a medium and a hard version. HOW IT WORKS: 1. Pick the language you want to read and the language you already speak 2. Where the pair has word tests, check the words of the text first 3. Read a text of a few minutes, in the original, in translation, or both at once 4. Listen to the professional narration recorded for it 5. In those pairs, every word you meet carries a knowledge level, so you see what still needs work 6. New texts keep arriving, a steady flow of fresh reading Some language pairs carry more than the text and its audio: grammar cards where the pair has them, and, for Serbian, a map that ties the texts to the places they describe. No social pressure. Just reading. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Trapkovac

My fiancé is Serbian. I wanted to learn well enough to talk with her family, so I built the course I wished I could find. Trapkovac teaches Serbian with clear explanations, useful vocabulary, and practice that helps it stick. It is for English speakers who want more than flashcards: you learn why a case ending changes, which words sound natural in conversation, and how to build your own sentences with confidence. There are 1,000+ lessons, over 5,000 words and phrases, and content from A1 beginner through B2 intermediate. Everything is included from the moment you install it, no subscription, trial, ads, or locked lessons. Serbian, clearly explained. Serbian grammar can look intimidating at first. Trapkovac breaks it into manageable lessons and explains what is happening as you go. Learn the patterns, not just the answer to one question. Both alphabets. Serbian is written in both Latin and Cyrillic, and both are part of everyday life. Choose the script you want to read, switch whenever you like, and build confidence in both. Pronunciation help on every word. Each word comes with a simple pronunciation guide and marked stress, so you can start speaking before reading Cyrillic feels automatic. Practice that remembers. Words return for review just before you are likely to forget them. Easy words get out of your way, the ones you keep missing get the extra practice they need. Speak when you want to. Optional speaking exercises give you a chance to practice saying words aloud. They are there when you want them and easy to turn off in Settings. Learn anywhere. Lessons, reviews, and audio work offline. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and your progress stays on your device. What's included: 85+ categories 1,000+ lessons Over 5,000 words and phrases A1 through B2 content Grammar, conversation, travel, pronunciation, and a searchable reference Trapkovac teaches the Ekavian form of Serbian, used across most of Serbia. Serbian is closely related to Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin, so much of the vocabulary and grammar will feel familiar across the region, while this course stays clear about the Serbian forms it teaches. Built for people who want to understand Serbian, not just tap through it. A note from the me. This is a hobby project, built by one person a little at a time. It will not be perfect, and new lessons and fixes are added as I go. If you find something wrong or missing, feedback is genuinely welcome. Thank you for giving Serbian a try.
