Stormeter – Your Early Warning Storm Alarm System Stay ahead of the storm with Stormeter, the ultimate barometric pressure monitoring app designed to keep you informed and safe. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast, weather watcher, seasoned sailor, or simply want peace of mind, Stormeter gives you early alerts when sudden pressure drops indicate potential storms like tornadoes, hurricanes, thunderstorms or fast approaching squalls. [Why Choose Stormeter] Storms often arrive with little warning—but changes in atmospheric pressure can reveal them before they strike. Stormeter continuously monitors barometric pressure trends. Using advanced local pressure tracking, real-time alerts, and visual alarms, Stormeter keeps you informed about dangerous weather patterns even when traditional weather forecasts fail to alert you precisely and timely. [Key Features] Real-Time Barometric Monitoring Tracks pressure changes in real time using your device’s built-in barometer (no internet required). For best results, keep the app in foreground and plugged into a power source. Smart Storm Alerts Receive instant alerts with sound, vibration, and full-screen flashing when pressure thresholds indicate danger. Identifies Storm Types Automatically classifies storm alerts as hurricane, tornado, or thunderstorm based on pressure patterns. One-Tap Silence Option Silence the alarm with a single tap—alerts resume if pressure continues to drop. Visual History & Charts View detailed pressure trends with interactive, time-based charts. Fully Local Processing No cloud processing or tracking. Your pressure data stays on your device for maximum privacy. [Customization Options] Set what types of storms are to be monitored Choose how long alarms stay active with auto-timeout options [Perfect for] If tornado warnings are issued and you need to know if one is near you Hikers, campers, and adventurers Boaters and offshore sailors People in storm-prone regions Anyone who appreciates the nostalgic beauty of wheel barometers first invented almost 400 years ago [Important Notes] Stormeter requires a device with a barometric sensor (most newer smartphones support this). Background monitoring may require enabling special permissions or using a future build of the app depending on your platform. While Stormeter offers early pressure-based warnings, it is not a substitute for official weather advisories. Be ready before the storm hits.
