Stormeter – Your Early Warning Storm Alarm System Stay ahead of the storm with Stormeter, the ultimate barometric pressure monitoring app designed to keep you informed and safe. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast, weather watcher, seasoned sailor, or simply want peace of mind, Stormeter gives you early alerts when sudden pressure drops indicate potential storms like tornadoes, hurricanes, thunderstorms or fast approaching squalls. [Why Choose Stormeter] Storms often arrive with little warning—but changes in atmospheric pressure can reveal them before they strike. Stormeter continuously monitors barometric pressure trends. Using advanced local pressure tracking, real-time alerts, and visual alarms, Stormeter keeps you informed about dangerous weather patterns even when traditional weather forecasts fail to alert you precisely and timely. [Key Features] Real-Time Barometric Monitoring Tracks pressure changes in real time using your device’s built-in barometer (no internet required). For best results, keep the app in foreground and plugged into a power source. Smart Storm Alerts Receive instant alerts with sound, vibration, and full-screen flashing when pressure thresholds indicate danger. Identifies Storm Types Automatically classifies storm alerts as hurricane, tornado, or thunderstorm based on pressure patterns. One-Tap Silence Option Silence the alarm with a single tap—alerts resume if pressure continues to drop. Visual History & Charts View detailed pressure trends with interactive, time-based charts. Fully Local Processing No cloud processing or tracking. Your pressure data stays on your device for maximum privacy. [Customization Options] Set what types of storms are to be monitored Choose how long alarms stay active with auto-timeout options [Perfect for] If tornado warnings are issued and you need to know if one is near you Hikers, campers, and adventurers Boaters and offshore sailors People in storm-prone regions Anyone who appreciates the nostalgic beauty of wheel barometers first invented almost 400 years ago [Important Notes] Stormeter requires a device with a barometric sensor (most newer smartphones support this). Background monitoring may require enabling special permissions or using a future build of the app depending on your platform. While Stormeter offers early pressure-based warnings, it is not a substitute for official weather advisories. Be ready before the storm hits. Download Stormeter and stay safe, available on Apple Store today.

Downstrike is a live lightning map centered on your home. Strikes appear seconds after they flash — then cool from white to ember as they age, so every storm paints its own trail across the dark map. THE MAP • Live strikes from Blitzortung.org, a worldwide network of volunteer radio receivers that hears every bolt and locates it with a stopwatch • Thunder rings expand from each strike at the real speed of sound — when a ring crosses your house, that's the moment the rumble arrives • Distance rings at 10, 25 and 50 km, with an amber glow that points toward approaching activity • Wind flow particles and a rain radar layer • Real thunder, synthesized live: sharp booms up close, long low rumbles far away — at each strike's true distance NO STORM NEARBY? Tap the big glowing bolt. It flies you to the most active storm on Earth at that moment — there is always one somewhere. STORM WARNINGS (US) Turn on notifications and your phone buzzes when the National Weather Service issues a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for where you are — even with the app closed. Plus a minute-by-minute rain forecast for the next hour, powered by Apple Weather. HONEST BY DESIGN Free, no accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your address stays on your device; if you enable warnings, only your approximate location (about 1 km) is stored to check official alerts — and turning them off deletes it. Downstrike is for learning and storm-watching fun. It is not an emergency service — in dangerous weather, follow official guidance.
