Briefed automatically gathers news from online media and puts it into a single feed, organised by source and category. Nobody decides for you: you see what dozens of publications publish, as it appears, and you build your own news stream. The app is free. WHAT YOU CAN DO One feed, continuously updated The latest stories from every monitored publication, plus "Trending now" and "Most popular". Filter by source, category, keyword and time range. Events: the same story, across outlets Articles about the same story are grouped automatically into an event. You see who reported it first and when, how long the others took to follow, a chronology by the minute with each outlet's delay, how many outlets wrote about it, and the wording their headlines shared. Custom timelines Build your own streams: pick the sources and categories you care about (Politics from three publications, say), add keywords and a time window. You can follow events the same way. A timeline can become the app's home screen, showing how many articles are new since you last opened it. Advanced keywords A space means "and", a minus sign excludes a word, OR accepts any of the terms, and quotation marks search for an exact phrase. Case and accents are ignored: "galati" also finds "Galați". Alerts when something you follow appears Create rules on sources, categories and keywords, for articles or for events, then choose the channel and how often you hear about it: instantly, hourly, daily or at fixed hours. Useful for following a topic, an institution, a city or your own company name. Briefed Articles Our own content, published daily: press reviews, the day's opinions, analyses and explainers written by the Briefed team. Saved articles, in folders, with notes Save any article, file it in a folder and add a personal note. Coverage in other sources On an article page you can check whether the story was reported by other publications, so you can compare angles. Topics and public figures Dedicated pages for the topics of the moment and for the names in the news: how many articles, from how many sources, which publications write about them most, and how the attention shifts month by month. Statistics on the monitored press The barometer shows how much the monitored outlets publish each month, with the peak hour and the split by category. Audiences shows the most-read sources and categories on Briefed. Daily briefing by email Pick the hour and the number of articles, and you get a daily summary of the news that matters to you. Romanian, English and several countries Choose the app's language and the country whose publications you want to follow. Your choice follows you to briefed.ro when you are signed in. Comfortable reading Light theme, dark theme, or whatever your phone is set to. An interface built for reading quickly. WITH OR WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT You can read the feed and the events, search and open articles without an account. A free account, with email or Google, unlocks timelines, alert rules, saved articles and the daily briefing. HOW IT WORKS Briefed reads publications' public RSS feeds and shows the headline, a short excerpt and a link to the original article. We do not republish articles in full: the "Read the article" button takes you to the source's own site. Articles in the Briefed Articles section are our own content and are labelled as such. Grouping into events is automatic, and the figures cover only the feeds Briefed subscribes to, not a newsroom's entire output. Briefed is independent. We are not affiliated with the publications we monitor, and their trademarks belong to their rightful owners. If you represent a publication and want it added to or removed from monitoring, write to us from the Contact section.
