Simple Budget is a private expense tracker and budget planner that works completely offline — no bank login, no signup, nothing to connect. Add an expense, log your income, and see exactly where your money goes. If you've tried a budgeting app that wanted your bank password before you'd even set a budget, Simple Budget is the alternative: every number comes from you, stored on your device, not pulled from a linked account. WHAT'S INSIDE • Expense & income tracking, with a real-time balance by day, week or month • A budget planner with overspend alerts, so you know before you go over • Bills & recurring payments, with start and end dates — mark each one paid or pending • A two-year calendar view of every expense and bill • Weekly and monthly reports with a top-5 category pie chart, plus 5 monthly spending insights • Savings goals and a debt tracker, so paying things off feels like progress, not guesswork • Custom categories, duplicate-in-one-tap entries, search and export • Free cloud backup and restore • Daily and weekly reminders, dark mode, and 9 in-app languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi) WHO IT'S FOR Students working with a fixed allowance. Freelancers whose income changes every month. Households and couples splitting bills who want one clear picture instead of two separate mental tallies. Anyone who'd rather type in a number than link a bank account to a stranger's server. FREE TO USE, WITH OPTIONAL PREMIUM Simple Budget is free to use, supported by ads, with a generous free plan that covers every core feature — expense tracking, budgets, bills, reports, savings goals and the debt tracker included. Premium (monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase) removes ads, unlocks unlimited accounts and budgets, and adds extra spending insights. There's no requirement to upgrade to use the app for real budgeting. THE PRIVACY PART Simple Budget doesn't ask for a bank login, and it works fully offline — your expenses and budgets live on your device. The app does show ads and, if you choose to back up or restore your data, that data is linked to your account so it can be restored later; our full privacy details are in the App Privacy section below.
