ThinkByte is an AI assistant that runs on your iPhone instead of in the cloud. Ask it a question, talk to it, or show it a photo, and it answers right on the device. Nothing connects to a server, so it works the same on a flight, on the subway, or anywhere with no signal. Your conversations stay on your phone and are never uploaded. Type or talk. Use the keyboard, or hold the mic and speak. ThinkByte takes voice and images, not just text. Choose your model. Download a small, fast model or a larger one for tougher questions, right from the app. More get added over time. Private by default. No account. No sign-up. Your chats never leave your phone. Anonymous diagnostics are optional and you can turn them off in Settings. Built for real life: Flights and travel Subways, basements, and dead zones Limited or expensive data plans Anyone who would rather keep their conversations off other people's servers Download ThinkByte and start chatting, fully offline.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: ThinkByte at 50% against Cortis's 0%. ThinkByte also leads on rating (4.2 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). Cortis's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThinkByte sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cortis sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
ThinkByte holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThinkByte has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of ThinkByte's written reviews are positive against 0% of Cortis's.
ThinkByte ships an update fortnightly, Cortis weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
